Murder Mystery tonight!!

Sooo in jr high and into high school we would have a Murder Mystery nearly every year for Halloween. We decided to continue with the tradition this year and the party is tonight! We are all so excited!! This year the scene is Chicago in the 1920's and we are trying to learn the whereabouts of "Hal" Coppone. I think my favorite part so far is the invitation, it says:

If youse want to learn
Da secret of
"Hal" Coppone's whereabouts,
Be in da
"Back Room"
at
S.P. Keasy's Place
Twenty-Third Street & Michigan
at 7:00 tonight

Refreshments'll be soived

Don't tell nobody!
Be dere!

Funny huh!! So we invited the boy downstairs to come be wierdos with us!! I hope they dress up!!

Here is my character description:
"Silky" M. Adam

Silky is a slinky and shady lady who owns and operates The Everlay Club, Chicago's most prominent private establishment situated in the exclusive Luxington Gardens district. Silky's father "Champagne" Charlie McCorker, founded the club years ago, and his daughter, christened Penelope McCorker - known to friends as "Poppy" - took over management at about the time she married prominent Chicago businessman U. Penn Adam. After her husband's unexpected death, the young and beautiful owner became known as "Silky" for the elegant silk gowns she was accustomed to wearing in the evenings. Silky counts among the club's members the wealthiest and most influential citizens of Chicago, who, despite their busy schedules, often stop in at the club for an hour or two simply to pass the time in the club's elegant and relaxing atmosphere.
costume suggestion: Silk evening gown shimmering with glittery beads

I dont know why, but I always end up with the "shady" characters. One year I was a beach babe and wore a bikini with a nude turtleneck underneath. Whatever, I guess everyone just knows I'll play along!

Anyways, I will let you know how it goes tonight!!!

a WHAT dance???

Okay okay okay, so I know how weird it is that I have updated my blog a lot recently but I've just had a lot of exciting things happen recently. And maybe it also has something to do with being away from home and not seeing everyone very often, but here is the latest:

ITS HOMECOMING WEEK!!!

Well we got a flyer on our door that gave us a schedule for the week and tonight was a . . . PAINT DANCE!!! weird, I know! anyways so after convincing Emily to go with me (which was a task cause she didnt know what it was. Until we got there she really didnt think it was REAL paint)) we ended up on the HPER field with buckets and buckets of paint along with 200 other students rubbing paint ALLLLLL over anything and EVERYTHING around you. IT WAS AWESOME!! No one could even recognize anyone cause it was dark and crazy. There was a tent set up with a blacklight and everyone was all rubbing up against each other (not sexually) it was so fun! And then starting at 10 tonight there was painting the street. on 700 North all the different colleges and clubs and such painted a section of the road. it was like the chalk fest at Gateway but with real paint. Fun night!!

anyways, so I know you are all SUPER anxious to see pics. I didn't get any at the actuasl party cause I didn't want to ruin my camera so enjoy the aftermath pics!!

THERE THEY ARE, THE PICS OF THE NIGHT!!

Lastly, I went to the library today and I left my phone at home on accident. When I got back I reazed my phone was in a puddle of water on the counter. Pretty sure that it was leaking water and pretty sure that now it wont work. Im not okay with it. I understand its water damage but this stupid phone has been a pain since the beginning. Ugh moral of the story . . . If you try to text or call in the next little while I wont be available!! Oh and if anyone has an extra phone I can use until I can figure something else out could I PLEASE borrow?? Thanks!!

Alexia's Shower!!

Sooo I realize that I am still very young, which makes it very odd that I go to so many showers!! Luckily the shower I went to this weekend was for my friend, Alexia, who is a few years older than me. Her baby is due in like 2 weeks and she is ready to pop!!! I worked with her at Fantasy Bridal and we had so much fun, then she went and got married and pregnant and left me all alone to fend for myself! Anyways, I had a blast at the shower and I am so excited for her and Ben!

Alexia and Me

This is a picture of all her friends that came.
Weird thing though, the girl with the leggings was in one of my classes at the U and the girl next to her
is my friend for high schools sister. It sure is a small world!

I wish I could have gotten a good pic of her belly! She is one of those luckys that from the back she doesnt look pregnant at all, its all in front like a basketball!!

Anyways, Congratulation Ben and Lexi!!

HOT PINK??

Alllllllright, so it all started last week when Emily and Kelli said that they wanted to dye their hair. I told them that I would dye it for them but I wouldn't do it to mine cause I pay good money to get mine done by a professional!! Anyways so tonight ended up being the night the dye was purchased and as we started to do Kelli and Emilys I toyed with the thought of mine too . . . well I did it. None of the colors that were bought were actually the color it turned out, but you know, things happen. Let me first just explain, Emily wanted to bleach some chunks in her hair blonde, which apparently has happened, despite her DARK hair. The bottle I used was supposed to be a dark purple but, as our good friend Tony puts it, it ended up as a Magenta, and Kelli wanted the purple and a bright teal/blue color and her purple worked out but the teal was more of a light green. Anyways, so here are the pics from the eventful night!

BEFORE

IN THE PROCESS

FINISHED BUT STILL WORKING

AFTER
I still haven't decided if I like mine or not. Its pretty dramatic for me, but Kelli and Emily are trying really hard to convince me it looks good!
